The President of the SAF Association, Lt General Ahmed bin Harith Al Nabhani WO WKhM L.d’H, has his last day in the office today 20th January 2021 after 47 years of loyal service. He is to be succeeded by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi on promotion from Commander, Royal Navy of Oman to Chief of Staff, Sultan’s Armed Forces..
The Royal Decree of 18th January 2021 issued by HM Sultan Haitham bin Tarik also announced a number of other military appointments -
Dr Mohammed bin Nasser bin Ali al Za’abi as Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence with the rank of minister.
Air Commodore Khamis bin Hammad bin Sultan al Ghafri to the rank of Air Vice Marshal and appoints him as a Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman.
Commodore Saif bin Nasser bin Mohsen al Rahbi to the rank of Rear Admiral and appoints him as Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman.
Air Commodore Eng Saleh bin Yahya bin Mas’oud al Maskari to the rank of Air Vice Marshal and appoints him as Commandant of the National Defence College.
