Colonel Mike Ball WB

Colonel Mike Ball died peacefully at home on 19 January 2025 with his family beside him. Mike served in the newly formed Jebel Regiment from 1971 to 1973 and was awarded the Sultan's Bravery medal (WB) during his service in Dhofar. We intend to add to this item in due course.

Service of Thanksgiving

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held for Colonel Mike Ball on Wednesday 12 February 2025 at 1200 hours at St John The Baptist Church, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, BA4 4DX.  A wake will be held afterwards at the Pilton Club in St Mary's Lane diagonally opposite the Church.

To enable the family to cater for numbers, those wishing to attend should let Alasdair Goulden (Queen's Regiment Association Sec) know on queensregimentassociation@gmail.com by 7 Feb 25 please. Would those who did not serve in the Queen's Regiment indicate that they are attending as members of the SAF Association.
