His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi on 7 March 2023, 14 Sha’ban 1444 AH.

His career in Government spanned many influential roles on the international stage and at home. He was Oman’s Ambassador to Egypt and, later, Jordan, following which he became Minister of The Interior. After nearly twenty years in that role, he was appointed as Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs until his retirement in 2020.

He will be remembered by many members of the Association as a prominent member of Oman’s Government for over forty years.
