We are sorry to report that Nick Holbrook passed away on the afternoon of Thursday 27th November in Yeovil Hospital. He had been unwell for some time.
Nick was one of the earliest helicopter pilots to arrive in Dhofar when 3 (Heli) squadron was created in 1970 and served with skill and bravery during those early years. He subsequently transferred to the Royal Oman Police Air Wing and continued his service in the Sultanate of Oman. A more detailed obituary will follow on these pages shortly.
Our thoughts are with Mary and all of the family.
Funeral Details
A funeral service will be held on Monday 29th December at 12 Noon at St Nicholas Church, Silton Nr Gillingham, Dorset, SP8 5PR.
Following the funeral there will be a reception at Silton Village Hall, Church Rd, Silton, Gillingham SP8 5PR. Those attending who approach from the A303 will pass the village hall on the right on the way to the church.
Parking. There are two car parks, one of limited size next to the Church and also beyond the Church on the same lane is another car park at Manor Farm which is a little further to walk.
